The Attics were a historical people dwelling on the east coast of the Half-Continent in a region of the same name. Idaho and her granddaughter Dido were both ancient Attics. Thus, the Haacobin Empire may be said to have Attic roots itself. The Attics were succeeded by the Tutelarchs.
Several Attic words and concepts remain part of everyday life in the Empire, while the Neo-Athic style of architecture enjoys some popularity.
"Attic" is almost certainly a reference to the language and culture of Ancient Greece The region around Athens, the most famous Greek city-state is still known as Attica. "Neo-Athic" may be a reference to Neoclassical architecture.
