The Boanergës or "Sons of Thunder" are a trio of fulgars. Europe knows them and reckons them as being competent, but not too bright. They were in the saloon of the Brisking Cat, a wayhouse on the Conduit Vermis, and were described as grim-looking and periodically glancing over their shoulders suspiciously.[1]

The name is taken from Boanerges, the surname given by Jesus to the brothers James and John.
