Needle Greening is a wide area of the Grume coastlands found southeast of the Strawfolds and south of Small. As it does not appear to be occupied by any human state, it likely serves as a buffer zone between the Soutlands and Burgundis.
Europe's sloop bound for Sinster is mentioned rounding its headlands at the same time that Rossamünd Bookchild, Freckle, and Darter Brown leave Brandenbrass.[1]

From its name it appears that Needle Greening may be covered by pine forest or even rainforest.
