|Alternate names||Nautical academy|
A naval college or nautical academy is the equivalent of a naval academy. They are present in some cities and to be able to attend one, a prospective student must be either sponsored by a patron, such as a captain or the state, be independently well off, or have married guardians. Naval colleges teach weltergraphie, rimitry and orthitry, naval architecture, instrument construction, and tungolitry. Officers trained by the colleges have a more complete formal education than those who gain their positions after being trained at sea, although the latter hold the edge in real world experience.
