Wellnigh House
Wellnigh House
Part of Conduit Vermis
Type Cothouse
Commander Unnamed House-Major
Appearances Lamplighter

Wellnigh House is a former toll house which now serves as a cothouse for the lamplighters on the Conduit Vermis. Built in the twin-keep style, its towers seperated by a covered bridge and surrounded by a drystone wall, it is the closest garrison to the fortress of Winstermill and is thus occasionally visited by prentice-lighters on training exercises. The commandant is an appointee of the Master-of-Clerks, recently transfered from the Considine.

The name is a reference to being well-nigh or close to both Winstermill and the Tumblesloe Heap and its own cothouse, the Tumblesloe Cot.
